Vegetable washing powder “Go Clean”

Vegetable washing powder “Go Clean”

Various pesticides and preservatives remain on the surface of our fruits and vegetables. Consumers in China and Southeast Asian countries are deeply concerned about pesticide residues in their daily diet.
JANUS has released a 100% natural-made vegetable washing agent, “Go Clean”, made from scallop shell produced in Aomori prefecture in Japan. Diluting 1g of “Go Clean” into 1L of water will make a strong alkaline solution with pH of 12 or greater, and cleanse the surface of your daily fruits and vegetables.
When a pesticide is used, it is usually blended together with an agrochemical spreader, a spreading agent containing proteins and lipids, in order to strengthen the adherence of the pesticide on the fruits and vegetables. Strong alkaline solution can dissolve these proteins and lipids, and washing with “Go Clean” will remove the agrochemical spreader along with the pesticides and preservatives from the fruit and vegetable surface.
Strong alkaline solution is also effective in destroying virus and bacteria. Thus it can be used for disinfection.
In addition, scallop shell powder is approved for use as an existing additive under the Food Sanitation Act of Japan. Therefore, it can be used safely.
