Achieving a sustainable society through our work
Since our establishment in 1971, JANUS has aimed to establish a sustainable, affluent, and secure future society by leveraging our high-level consulting expertise in the fields of energy, environment, and social science.
The United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015. Some SDGs perfectly reflect components of the future society that we have been endeavoring to build since our establishment. We will continue to work toward achieving these SDGs as well as a safe, secure, and sustainable future society by challenging a wider range of businesses and providing our consulting expertise in the fields of energy, environment, and social science.
Our management philosophy: basic principles and the SDGs
Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
We make efforts to improve our employees’ work environment by establishing support programs for working parents and family caregivers such as childcare leave and remote working, developing infrastructures to help disabled employees work with peace of mind, utilizing rehired retirees, providing education for harassment prevention, actively employing women, and exchanging opinions with employee representatives.
We are certified with the highest level of Eruboshi, which is a certification granted by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to companies that promote women’s active participation and leadership in workplace.
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
The JGC Group, which we are part of, outlines the path of action to accomplish the JGC Group’s corporate philosophy, the JGC Way, in its Principles of Business Conduct. The Principles of Business Conduct also describe a code for bribery prevention and fair competition along with various rules for operation that establish a mechanism by which we can work together with employees as well as our business partners.
